How it Works
Every Sehyog gift is part of a our development project which is empowering our approaches towards the social causes. Sehyog invests in social welfare projects because this is the most effective way to help communities overcome poverty. like women tend to transfer improvements in their own lives into the lives of their family and community – and when you help a needy to LIVE, LEARN, EARN or LEAD, statistics show she will help at least four others lift themselves from poverty too.

Help to LIVE
A staggering 340,000 women die from pregnancy-related causes each year, and 99 per cent of these deaths happen in developing countries. Giving the gift of access to health advice and a safe place to give birth means they can have healthy pregnancies and a safe delivery. Once a child is born – there are many risks to their health. Diarrhoea is the second largest cause of child deaths worldwide, but by providing safe, clean water and good hygiene practices nearly half of these deaths can be avoided. Or you can choose a gift to help women and their communities, clear their land of landmines, plant a veggie garden or grow fruit trees so they can put fresh, healthy food on the table and earn an income. Help to LEARN

Educated girls become educated mothers, who will have healthier families, earn a greater income and will be more likely to educate their own children. Around 70 per cent of the world's poorest people live in rural areas; they are dependent on their livestock and crops for survival. What’s more, when a woman earns an income she puts 90 per cent of her earnings back into her family and community. When women are given the support and opportunity to fully participate in community decision making, big things happen; there are much better results for communities, especially in areas like education and healthcare.
